Changes

In the beginning of March, I decided I needed some big changes in my diet and the eating habits of my family.  I decided we would eat a whole lot more fresh fruits and vegetables and we would eliminate refined sugar.

Done!!   The children were lamenting that they would never have any of their favorite foods ever again but they have learned this isn't true.  I just cook them in a different way.

As of about the second week of April, introduce Trim Healthy Mama!!  I had been praying about what the Lord would have me do in regards to our food and this book was given to me by a dear friend.  I felt like it was a direct answer to prayer.  Since the beginning of March, I have lost 22 pounds.  YAY THM!!!!!

One month ago, enter T-Tapp, and this is what I want to share with you today.  I learned about T-Tapp in the facebook group for ladies following the Trim Healthy Mama eating plan.  I've tried every exercise program under the sun including Wii Fit Plus, ankle weights, Leslie Sansone, The Firm, Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, and Couch to 5 K.  I heard about T-Tapp and thought "meh, another workout DVD".  No, its not "just" another work out DVD.  Its really different and it REALLY works!

Here are some of the T-Tapp claims:
1.  Trim inches
2.  Lower blood sugar
3.  Build bone density
4.  Build muscle

There are many more but I'll address just a couple of these.

First, does T-Tapp REALLY lower blood sugar?!  YES, it does!!  I convinced my mother, who is a diabetic and has a degenerative disease in her spine and can't do many exercises, to try the DVD.  She took her blood sugar before she exercised and again when she was done.  It was lower by 58 points!!  IT WORKS! (She has also been able to continue to the program in spite of her spine disease and bone spurs on her spine.  ANYONE can do this!)

Second, does it trim inches?  This is the really exciting part . . . . . YES, IT DOES!!  I took my measurements just before I did my first exercises.  One week later I took my measurements again.  I lost 13.5 inches IN ONE WEEK.  I didn't eat any differently than I had been eating before I started T-Tapp!  Week 2, I lost an additional 7.25 inches!  Week three I lost another 1.5 inches.  I haven't measured for week 4 yet.  I measure on Saturdays.  So, yes, T-Tapp absolutely trims inches!!  In my case, it trimmed inches in a BIG WAY!!!  (I encouraged a lady at church to give T-Tapp a try.  She doesn't have a lot of weight to lose, she looks good already, and she lost 4.5 inches her first week!)

I have worked out 15 minutes a day for one month.  That's it.  I did a 14 day "boot camp" where you do the work out once a day, every day.  After that, you do it every other day until you reach your goal.  I have been doing the Basic Work Out + , a 15 minute work out, which I found out today I can safely do every day instead of every other day so  I'll be going to back an "every day" schedule to boost my inch trimming power!

And here is another big PLUS that I am getting with T-Tapp that I've never had with any other work out . . . . . . . . it is truly energizing.  Yep, you heard me right!  After I complete my workout, I'm energized, not exhausted!  My muscles are quivering so I can tell I've gotten a work out but I'm energized and ready to face the day.  As a low thyroid sufferer, this is a huge, HUGE, big deal for me as I NEVER feel energized.  On the contrary, I'm basically ready to drop off to sleep at any given moment.

T-Tapp truly is a fitness program that meets you on your fitness level and grows with you as you get stronger and perfect your form.  It rehabilitates your body from the inside out.  Its unique and it measures up to its fabulous claims on the website.  I'm not going to get anything from writing this blog.  I just believe in the product so much that I became an affiliate to help spread the word.  With T-Tapp, "less" really is "more"!!!

This is a picture of me just a few days before I started my THM/T-Tapp journey, 22 pounds and almost 23 inches ago.  I'll post an "updated" picture before too long.  Trying to hide behind a 2 year old is never effective!  If you are looking for an exercise program that is truly doable, regardless of your physical limitations, please consider T-Tapp!  YES, YOU CAN!!!

Back in the Swing of Things

So many things have happened since last I posted.  I'm not going to try and catch you up as it would take a month of posts.

Some things I've kept up with and some things have fallen by the wayside.  I'm still making my own deodorant and I still love it.  I went back to commercial shampoo.  I'm now home making all our bread and most of our pasta using unbleached and unbromated flour.  We moved to a new home a year ago.  I am now home schooling, something I NEVER thought I would do nor desired to do.

My life is very full right now.  Most days I don't sit down until after dinner around 8 or 9 PM.  Its a nonstop day, every day.  But life is good.  I know I've been remiss about posting but I want to get back into the swing of things.  I would also like to do a give a way.  Stay tuned!!

Home Organization

On the schedule today is taking the kids to school, the usual housework (laundry, floors, putting away), making a bag, baby sitting, and my "MUST DO" of the day is get together a daily/weekly/monthly Chore List/Schedule for myself and the children. I feel like I just never have it all together. The bathroom rugs need to be done or the sheets need changed or my desk needs purged . . . AGAIN. So today I will make a master list of tasks and organize them by the day, week, month and year.

Anyone who wants to chime in with their cleaning schedule and purging routine, I would LOVE to hear it!!!

Happy Tuesday!

Bus Visiting

After 8 months of Daniel not being a bus captain . . . . . . . WE'RE BACK!!!! This is our third week back on visiting the bus and I'm GRATEFUL!

I think we needed the break. I think it made us both appreciate the bus ministry more and appreciate the fact that it is a privilege to work the bus route, not a duty. We have found the joy again and its GOOD! We are also now picking up children from 3 different houses where we used to pick up the parent on the bus.

If you are so inclined, please pray we'll be able to get those parents to come back to church and back to God.

So with much joy, all 8 of us are getting ready this morning and loading up to go visit all the bus kiddos! Praying for a big day on the bus tomorrow!
